One of Us is Lying

Picture
Five students enter detention and only four leave alive.  They are now all murder suspects.  Told from the perspective of each student, this murder mystery will lead you through secrets and lies they would prefer to keep hidden.  See if you can determine which of them is lying about what happened to their classmate.  We can't keep this book on the shelves!  Click here to reserve it!  Also look for One of Us is Next, the sequel to this one.

Two Can Keep a Secret

Picture
This book is by the author of One of Us is Lying, but it's not the sequel!  Ellery and her brother are sent to live with their grandmother while their mother is in jail.  They begin school in Echo Ridge, where their mom grew up.  Their aunt disappeared without a trace at the age of seventeen and now events in the town lead them to believe that everybody is keeping secrets.  Another teen disappeared five years before their arrival.  As more young people are endangered, Ellery attempts to solve the mystery of her aunt's disappearance and recent threats against students at her school, including herself.

Truly Devious

Picture
Stevie Bell, true crime enthusiast, is offered a spot as the prestigious Ellingham Academy where she plans to solve the mystery of its founders' family's disappearance.  While there, another death occurs and she finds herself wrapped up in solving that mystery, as well.  This novel alternates between events in the past, when Ellingham was founded, and Stevie's present, gradually shedding light on campus mysteries.  This is the first book in a truly excellent trilogy.

Little Monsters

Picture
Kacey has moved to a new town with her father, stepmother, stepbrother, and half sister to begin a new life.  She makes friends with two girls and, when they become distant with her, she is confused.  When one of them goes missing, she becomes a suspect and has to work to clear her name.  Rumours of a murder in the town's past have led to local legends about a ghost and Kacey isn't sure what to believe or who to trust.

Killing November

Picture
It’s a school completely off the grid, hidden by dense forest and surrounded by traps. There’s no electricity, no internet, and an eye-for-an-eye punishment system. Classes include everything from Knife-Throwing and Poisons to the Art of Deception and Historical Analysis. And all of the students are children of the world’s most elite strategists—training to become assassins, counselors, spies, and master impersonators. Into this world walks November Adley, who quickly discovers that friends are few in a school where personal revelations are discouraged and competition is everything. When another student is murdered, all eyes turn to November, who must figure out exactly how she fits into the school’s bizarre strategy games before she is found guilty of the crime…or becomes the killer’s next victim.
